Rabya weighed in on the issue of honour killings, demanding action against them. Similarly, she questioned the increasing inflation and growing safety concerns, stating that real progress will only occur when safety is prioritised over the use of hashtags.

The influencer-turned-actor also shared how the current situation has left her short of words over the nation’s priorities, adding that she will only believe in Aurat March and other similar events once they help prevent even one honour killing. She ended her post by saying, “PS: The real issue will not be solved by searching for a sock!"

Her remarks resonated with many social media users, who praised her for making a bold statement and said they shared the same concerns over the issue. Many also applauded her for showing sensitivity, adding that it was refreshing to see sensible voices from within the industry.

Rabya Kulsoom is a notable influencer and actor who recently won the award for Best Digital Content Creator at the 24th Lux Style Awards. She is also the daughter of veteran Pakistani actress Parveen Akbar and the sister of actor Faizan Sheikh. She is married to actor and singer Rehan Nazim, with whom she has a son.
