Britney Spears has become the subject of renewed online attention after reports surfaced claiming she had a chaotic evening at a Los Angeles restaurant, with eyewitnesses alleging unusual behaviour during a recent dinner outing.

According to TMZ, Spears dined at Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks with two companions, where witnesses claimed she was seen raising her voice, acting animatedly, and at times barking during conversation. Some patrons also alleged that she briefly held a knife while walking near tables, though it remains unclear whether the utensil was simply forgotten after cutting food.

Additional claims suggested the singer lit a cigarette inside the venue near an exit, prompting staff intervention. Sources further described the atmosphere as “chaotic” and “unexpected,” while noting that many diners did not immediately realise Spears was present until after she had left the restaurant.

Food reportedly ordered included a burger and fries, though witnesses said she ate very little and left a significant mess behind. A photo shared in the report showed a crumpled menu allegedly left at the table after her departure. Security later escorted Spears home, according to the report.

However, Spears’ representative strongly denied the allegations in a statement published by TMZ, saying the situation had been exaggerated. The rep stated that Spears was “enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard” and clarified that she was simply “telling a story about her dog barking.”

The statement also addressed the knife claim, explaining that Spears was not acting dangerously and was only “cutting her hamburger in half.” Her team criticised the ongoing scrutiny, arguing that the narrative misrepresents the singer.

Spears herself has not publicly commented on the incident, which continues to circulate widely across entertainment news and social media.
