Cattle market schedule announced

RAWALPINDI:

Rawalpindi divisional administration has announced that sacrificial animal markets across Rawalpindi division will remain operational from May 16 until Eidul Azha and will completely wind up on the third day of Eid.

Orders have been issued to deputy commissioners and regional police officers to install CCTV cameras in all cattle markets, ensure street lighting, deploy veterinary doctors for Congo virus checks in animals, maintain strict security and ensure cleanliness.

The directives were issued during a special review meeting on cattle markets attended by deputy commissioners and police chiefs of all six districts of the division. The meeting reviewed arrangements for official cattle markets, security, sanitation, traffic management, civic facilities and other matters related to Eidul Azha.

A total of six official cattle markets are being established in Rawalpindi division and will remain operational round the clock from May 16 till Eidul Azha.

Three cattle markets will be set up in Attock at Main Peshawar Road, Main Pindi Gheb Road and near Civil Hospital CPEC Link Road. In Chakwal district, a market will be established at Chak Noorang Stop on Main Chakwal-Rawalpindi Road, while another will be set up on Mianwali Road Main Bypass in Talagang.

In the Rawalpindi division, another market will be established near Kallar Syedan bypass. Besides official markets, traditional cattle markets will also remain operational during their designated days.
