NA passes unanimous resolution lauding armed forces for effective response to India during Marka-e-Haq
Warns India not to misjudge Pakistan's desire for peace as weakness; any misadventure will be met with full strength

The National Assembly (NA) on Monday passed a unanimous resolution expressing a deep sense of national pride and highlighting the unmatched professionalism, vigilance, extraordinary preparedness and resolute response demonstrated by the armed forces on May 10, 2025, in the face of unprovoked and unwarranted Indian aggression.
The resolution moved by Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar deplored that in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist incident on April 22, 2025, in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), a "malicious campaign" was immediately orchestrated by India and amplified by its state-sponsored media to baselessly implicate Pakistan without any evidence or investigation, even though the incident was categorically condemned by the government.
It stated that the house condemned that, despite a sincere and generous offer by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to participate in any neutral, transparent and credible investigation into what was described as a false-flag operation, India proceeded to launch an unprovoked airstrike on Pakistan on May 6, 2025, targeting innocent civilians.

The NA paid rich tributes to the armed forces, which, under the leadership and command of PM Shehbaz and Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, delivering a befitting response to the aggression.
The house commended the bravery and operational excellence of the Pakistan Air Force, which swiftly established air superiority and shot down multiple Indian aircraft, including Rafale jets.
It also extended gratitude to all officers, soldiers, airmen and sailors of the armed forces for making Operation Bunyanum Marsoos successful through courage, professionalism and sacrifice.
It further stated that, in retaliatory strikes, armed forces targeted and destroyed an Indian brigade headquarters, air force and aviation bases, including BrahMos facilities, which had fired missiles into Pakistan and killed innocent civilians. It added that JF-17 Thunder jets destroyed India’s $1.5 billion S-400 air defence system.
The house also praised the Pakistan Navy for its strategic preparedness and robust response, which successfully thwarted intrusion attempts, forcing the enemy to retreat.
It honoured the martyrs of the armed forces who laid down their lives in the line of duty and inflicted a defeat upon a numerically superior enemy across all domains of warfare, including land, air, sea and cyber.
The resolution acknowledged the contribution and technical expertise of Pakistan’s cyber warfare experts in countering cyber-attacks by Indian hackers, stating that several Indian strategic systems were rendered dysfunctional. It also acknowledged the contribution of the entire nation, including members of both government and opposition.

It stated that the house reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering resolve to stand with the armed forces in defending the geographical and ideological frontiers of the country.
