WASA staff booked for negligence

RAWALPINDI:

A case has been registered against the Assistant Director, Tehsildar, and other concerned staff of the WASA Rawalpindi for failing to implement safety measures during the construction and development of drainage projects, thereby endangering the lives and property of citizens and labourers.

A complaint said no safety arrangements were in place at the WASA project site. Warning signboards, safety barriers and reflective markers had not been installed, nor had any protective boundary wall been constructed around the site.
