Naqvi sets July 31 interchange deadline

2.7-kilometre-long project would feature a three-lane carriageway on both sides

ISLAMABAD:

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday visited the site of the Margalla Road-Motorway extension project, and directed that the Sangjani Interchange on GT Road be completed by July 31.

According to officials, the 2.7-kilometre-long project would feature a three-lane carriageway on both sides, along with a two-lane service road. The plan also included a GT Road interchange, two underpasses, and a bridge to ensure smooth and uninterrupted traffic flow.

The interior minister, during his visit, inspected ongoing construction activities and was given a detailed briefing on various components of the project.
