BoR creates dispute resolution bodies

RAWALPINDI:

The Board of Revenue (BoR) has issued a notification for the establishment of special "Land Reconciliation Committees" across the province to resolve disputes related to agricultural, residential, and commercial land at the local level.

According to the notification, each committee will consist of seven members and will be headed by the local assistant commissioner as convener. Other members will include the assistant collector, circle gardawar, and lambardar, while three members will be nominated from among respected locals, subject to approval by the convener. Instructions have been issued to make these committees operational immediately. A formal gazette notification has also been issued by the senior member of the board of revenue.
