Three held in family murder case
Abducted child safely recovered; family dispute behind quadruple murder

Police claimed on Monday to have arrested three suspects, including a woman, involved in the killing of four members of a family in the Jhungi Syedan area in the jurisdiction of Noon Police Station, and have also recovered a young girl who had been abducted from the house.
The motive behind the killings has been identified as a family dispute.
Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Islamabad, Jawad Tariq, said efforts are ongoing to apprehend two remaining suspects involved in the case. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday alongside SSP Operations and other officers, he stated that four people - including a woman and a child - were murdered within the limits of Noon Police Station.
He added that the suspects had abducted a nine-year-old girl after committing the murders. Police teams responded promptly to the scene, a case was registered immediately, and digital forensics along with Safe City camera footage were utilised to trace and arrest the suspects. According to the DIG, five individuals were involved in the incident; three, including a woman, have been arrested, while raids are underway to capture the remaining two.
The arrested suspects are reported to be from Lower Dir. The recovered girl has since been reunited with her family. Investigations are ongoing.
Robbers netted
Separately, police have arrested two suspects involved in a robbery worth Rs4.2 million in the Bhara Kahu area; a shop employee was also found to be complicit. Cash amounting to Rs3 million has been recovered.
Five members of the so-called Shehzad gang, involved in street crime, have also been detained, with 20 mobile phones recovered. Cases against the suspects are also registered in Rawalpindi. In addition, three members of gangs involved in offences within the Ramna and Karachi Company areas have been arrested.
