'House of the Dragon' season 3 trailer releasing as cast tease more brutal episodes
'House of the Dragon' season 3 teased as cast and creators preview larger scale and more intense storylines

House of the Dragon season 3 has been previewed with a new trailer debut at CCXP Mexico, offering early insight into the upcoming episodes ahead of their June release.
Cast members Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Fabien Frankel appeared at the Mexico City event, where they shared details about the next chapter of the HBO series.
The prequel to Game of Thrones also stars Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifans and Steve Toussaint.
Co-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal introduced the trailer via a recorded message, confirming that production is nearing completion.
“I’m very sad to not be joining you all there, but I’m back here in the U.K., putting the finishing touches on post-production in season three,” Condal said.
“This is a huge season. It’s the biggest we’ve made by any margin and by a wide measure. It is dark. It’s funny. It’s action-packed. It’s emotional. And, of course, it has lots and lots of dragons.”
The trailer, set for online release on Monday, features key dialogue from the central characters. Corlys Velaryon declares, “All that remains is for you to decide what you want from this war,” while Ser Criston Cole warns, “Doom and ruin surround us.”
During the panel discussion, Olivia Cooke addressed the evolving relationship between Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen. “To hate someone, there has to be a passion that you have to set fire to,” she said, noting their shared past.
Matt Smith also outlined the direction of the new season, stating, “This season, we’re trying to make it bigger, bolder, bloodier, more brutal, more dangerous — just get back to the nuts and bolts of what we are as a show.”
