ISLAMABAD:

The Black Hole (TBH), a non-profit organisation, hosted a webinar titled "Art, Astronomy, and Healing: Creative Responses to a Changing World," which highlighted the role of creative expression in addressing emotional and societal challenges.

The session explored how the intersection of art and science can help individuals process complex emotions, particularly in a rapidly changing world. Drawing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) practices, the discussion focused on how cosmic-inspired creativity can serve as a powerful tool for awareness and healing.

Speaking at the webinar, Director of Cosmic Tribe and representative of the Dark Sky Pakistan chapter Rayan Khan shared insights from his experience with public installations and science outreach initiatives. He emphasised the importance of blending artistic expression with astronomical themes to engage communities and foster a deeper connection with the universe.

The session was moderated by Zainab Abbasi, a science communicator associated with Cosmic Tribe, who guided the discussion on how interdisciplinary approaches can inspire both creativity and critical thinking.

Participants were encouraged to explore artistic responses to cosmic phenomena as a way to reflect on personal and collective experiences.
