The District Central Police have claimed to have solved a blind murder case within 48 hours, arresting four sus-pects, including two women, in connection with the killing of a 33-year-old man in North Karachi.
SSP Muhammad Imran Khan said that the victim, Rehan, son of Ghulam Nabi Memon, was shot dead outside a mosque in Khwaja Ajmer Nagri on April 10, around 5am. A case was registered at the Khwaja Ajmer Nagri police sta-tion. Authorities initially suspected the killing to be a robbery-related or targeted attack, but later investigations re-vealed it was a pre-planned murder.
According to police, the victim's wife Sadaf, her mother Fatima, her brother Jibran, and her friend Sheezan alias Saju were found involved in the conspiracy. Investigators said the suspects planned the killing during a meeting at a proper-ty agency.
Police further revealed that the main accused Sheezan allegedly stole a licensed 9mm pistol from his brother, while Jibran provided bullets and a mask. The wife, Sadaf, reportedly shared her husband's daily routine and informed the co-accused that he regularly attended Fajr prayers at a nearby mosque.
