Dune 3 IMAX tickets selling for thousands on eBay after sellout

Months before release, sold-out Dune 3 IMAX tickets are already on eBay

Select 70mm IMAX screenings of Dune: Part Three have sold out months ahead of release, quickly appearing on resale platforms at heavily marked-up prices.

On eBay, listings range from around $100 to over $1,000, with one pair of preview night tickets reaching $4,500. Many sellers are advertising central seating positions as “premium” to justify the high prices.

The demand is tied to the film’s large-format IMAX presentation, which has become a major draw for audiences following director Denis Villeneuve’s emphasis on immersive theatrical experiences.

Based on the novels by Frank Herbert, the film continues the studio-backed franchise from Warner Bros.. It is currently scheduled to release on the same day as Avengers: Doomsday.

Some listings have already received bids, though it remains unclear how many buyers will pay the highest prices.
