BTS return to 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' after US late night absence
BTS make late night return on Jimmy Fallon show following Arirang release and global comeback promotions

BTS have returned to US late night television with their first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since 2021, marking a key moment in the group’s ongoing promotional activities following their latest album release.
The seven members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, appeared together on Wednesday’s broadcast, shortly after releasing their album Arirang, their first full project in nearly four years. The appearance forms part of a wider promotional campaign that has also included a global livestream event on Netflix.
Host Jimmy Fallon welcomed the group, saying: “I just want to tell you we’ve missed you,” as BTS discussed their return following mandatory military service in South Korea.
During the interview, the group reflected on living together again while working on Arirang, sharing personal observations about each other. Jin commented on Jungkook’s habits, noting he had not fully unpacked and describing him as the messiest member in their shared space.
The programme also featured a segment in which BTS surprised fans, capturing a range of reactions from attendees. When asked to describe their fanbase, known as ARMY, in one word, the group responded with “love.” Additional moments included light-hearted exchanges, such as a discussion about RM’s driving, with V remarking it was “very scary.”
BTS concluded the episode with a performance of “Swim,” the lead single from Arirang. The performance took place at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, where members began in different sections before joining together at a central stage.
The album Arirang draws on Korean cultural elements, including references to a traditional folk song of the same name. BTS are scheduled to return to the programme for a second appearance, continuing their promotional activities in the United States.
