First instalment of USC severance package released
.

The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has begun the process of disbursing severance and compensation packages to its laid-off employees affected by the government's decision to shut down the project.
According to official information, details of 4,459 employees eligible for the severance or compensation package have been uploaded to the AGPR portal for payment processing.
Officials said the first instalment, amounting to 40% of the severance or compensation package, will be credited to the employees' bank accounts.
The long-delayed disbursement comes after workers spent months protesting and demanding the release of dues.
