Cape Cobras defeated New South Wales (NSW) by seven wickets in the Champions League Twenty20. The Cobras restricted NSW to 135 courtesy disciplined bowling by Veron Philander and Justin Kemp. In the ensuing run-chase, Cobras openers Richard Levi (43) and Herschelle Gibbs (55) powered their team to victory. Earlier,  Warriors beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore by three wickets. Bangalore posted 172 but Ashwell  Prince (74) and Johan Botha’s (42) fifth-wicket partnership helped build the foundations of a Warriors’ victory.
