Two arrested for incest with niece

HYDERABAD:

In horrid case of sexual abuse of an unmarried woman, police arrested her two uncles, a khalo and a mamoon.

A woman told the Pinyari police that her maternal aunt's husband (khalo) Ali Raza would often come to her home when her brothers were out for work. He would sexually assault her and threatened her of being killed as a kari, and also killing her mother, if she opened her mouth.

The ordeal continued for two years, however, on Saturday, Raza brought along the victim's mammon (brother of her mother) and he too raped her, the victim stated.

After the incident, she informed her family members, who consulted each other and then approached the police. Senior Superintendent of Police Shahzaib Chachar ordered immediate action on the complaint and directed the Incharge Women and Child Protection Cell, Maria Sario, to conduct further inquiry. Subsequently, a case (Crime No. 34/2026) was registered under Section 376(II) of the Pakistan Penal Code at Pinyari police station. The victim was also medically examined.

Police later conducted raids and arrested both suspects.

The SSP stated that no leniency would be shown to individuals involved in crimes against women and children. He directed officers to provide full legal protection and support to the victim and to ensure that a strong case, backed by solid evidence, is presented in court so the accused can be brought to justice.
