PPP-backed lawyer wins Pindi bar election

Saeed Yousaf Khan, backed by the PPP, has won the Rawalpindi High Court Bar Association election. According to the results, Khan secured 1,520 votes to be elected president of the association.
Qasim Mehmood Malik was elected secretary general after obtaining 887 votes. Shazia Yousaf was elected senior vice president, while Naila Firdous secured the post of vice president. Fahad Fayyaz was elected joint secretary.
Following the announcement of the results, jubilant lawyers celebrated at the high court premises, chanting slogans, performing bhangra, distributing sweets, and dancing to the beat of drums.
