Police have arrested six suspects, including a woman and a former security guard, for their alleged involvement in an armed robbery at a private university near Data Darbar, recovering stolen equipment worth millions of rupees.
The police said the suspects had allegedly entered the university at night by scaling the boundary wall. They had reportedly held security guards hostage at gunpoint and looted 79 central processing units (CPUs) and 20 light-emitting diode (LED) screens from a storeroom, loading the items onto rickshaws and fleeing.
