A 20-year-old youth who was allegedly assaulted over a friendship with a girl has died after remaining under treatment for several days. Following his death, the grieving family staged a protest sit-in by placing his body at the Islamabad railway crossing, demanding the arrest of those responsible.

Residents of the Gujarati Para area brought the body of Shah Faisal Araeen to the Islamabad railway gate and blocked the crossing. The protest led to a suspension of traffic on both sides of the road and disrupted train services on the railway track. The deceased's father alleged that his son had been brutally assaulted on February 21 by a man identified as Salman.
