KARACHI:

Rallies were staged in Keamari and Gulistan-e-Jauhar to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army's Operation Ghazab Lil Haq against Afghan aggression. Participants waved national flags and chanted slogans in support of the armed forces.

In Keamari, PPP MPA Asif Khan led the rally, with participants demanding Afghanistan end terrorism in Pakistan and pledging full backing for the military campaign.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori praised the swift response of security forces to what he termed unprovoked firing by Afghan Taliban in K-P. He said the armed forces, under General Asim Munir, had given a befitting reply destroying enemy hideouts.

Business leaders also voiced support. Korangi Association of Trade and Industry President Ikram Rajput condemned Taliban attacks on civilians and a mosque, stressing there could be no compromise on Pakistan's security and sovereignty. Association of Builders and Developers Chairman Muhammad Hassan Bakhshi called the targeting of civilians a violation of international law, warning that continued Afghan aggression endangered regional peace. He said the construction industry stood ready to make any sacrifice for national defence.

FPCCI Policy Advisory Board Chairman Mian Zahid Hussain said the Taliban regime's actions reflected hostile intent, adding that intelligence-based operations against terrorist networks were vital for peace and economic stability.
