Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has issued a firm statement amid escalating tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, declaring that Pakistan will make no compromises on matters of national defense and territorial integrity.

In his remarks, the governor emphasized that Pakistan is a responsible state committed to peace, stability, and brotherly relations in the region. However, he made it clear that sovereignty and territorial wholeness remain non-negotiable.

"Pakistan has long hosted and shown hospitality to our Afghan brothers and sisters, consistently supporting a stable and peaceful Afghanistan on every international forum," Kundi said. "It is deeply regrettable and saddening that today, not only Afghan territory but Afghan citizens are involved in suicide bombings and other terrorist incidents inside Pakistan."

He stressed that protecting the country's borders and the lives and property of its citizens is the foremost duty of the state. All institutions are working in complete coordination to fulfill this responsibility.

Praising the professionalism and capabilities of Pakistan's security forces, the governor asserted that the armed forces and law enforcement agencies possess full capacity to counter any threats. "The entire nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with its brave forces," he added. "Any aggression will be met with a crushing and decisive response."
