Andhar gang leader surrenders in Katcha

In what officials termed a major breakthrough in the ongoing Katcha operation, the alleged ringleader of the Andhar gang, Tanveer alias Dadu Andhar and proclaimed offender Zafri Jhabeel have surrendered to authorities on Thursday.
District Police Officer (DPO) Irfan Ali Samo announced that Tanveer Andhar, who carried a head money of Rs10 million and Zafri Jhabeel, with a bounty of Rs5 million, laid down their arms during joint operations conducted by police and Military Intelligence in the riverine Katcha area.
Addressing a press briefing, the DPO described the surrender as the "biggest success" of the Katcha operation so far.
He claimed that following the surrender of the two most-wanted suspects, no active dacoit or organised gang remains operational in the
Katcha belt.
"The Katcha region has been cleared of criminal gangs," he stated, adding that the total number of outlaws who have surrendered during the operation has reached 229.
