Podcast host Sofia Franklyn has announced the release of a forthcoming memoir that will explore her departure from the popular podcast Call Her Daddy and her widely publicized fallout with former co-host Alex Cooper.

According to People, the book, titled Daddy Issues, is scheduled for publication on November 10 through Simon & Schuster. The memoir will offer Franklyn’s personal account of events surrounding her exit from the podcast, which she co-created with Cooper in 2018 under Barstool Sports.

The show quickly gained popularity for its candid discussions on relationships and dating, but the partnership between the two hosts came to an end in 2020. Cooper subsequently continued the podcast as a solo host, while Franklyn launched her own platform, “Sofia with an F.”

In a statement cited by People, Franklyn said the memoir represents an opportunity to reclaim her narrative after years of public speculation. She noted that earlier in her life she may not have been ready to tell her story openly, but now feels prepared to present a more honest and self-reflective version of events. The book is expected to detail both the professional split and the breakdown of her personal friendship with Cooper, which she describes as one of the internet’s most talked-about fallouts.

The memoir’s cover art features Franklyn standing beside a partially removed figure of a blonde woman, a visual element that appears to reference the fractured relationship at the center of the story. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Franklyn explained that the design was intended to convey a deeper narrative beyond the title, emphasizing that her experiences extend beyond public perception.

Meanwhile, Cooper previously addressed her perspective on the split in a 2025 Hulu docuseries, where she discussed business negotiations with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy. Cooper claimed she chose to remain with the company after being offered a deal involving ownership of the podcast’s intellectual property, while Franklyn opted against it.

Franklyn’s upcoming memoir is positioned to provide additional insight into the dispute and its aftermath, offering readers a more detailed account of one of podcasting’s most high-profile breakups, as reported by People.
