Man shot dead in targeted attack

FAISALABAD:

A 46-year-old man was shot dead when armed motorcyclists opened fire on a car in the Madina Town area, allegedly over an old enmity, police said on Wednesday. The incident occurred near Chak 208-RB within the limits of Madina Town Police Station.

According to police, four suspects, identified as Manzoor Ahmed alias Jora, Asad son of Imam Din and two accomplices, arrived on motorcycles and intercepted a car carrying their rivals.

The assailants allegedly opened indiscriminate fire on the vehicle, targeting Abdul Ghaffar, Asghar Ali, Sabir Ali and Muhammad Yousaf. As a result, Muhammad Yousaf, sustained critical bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Senior police officers, including the SP Madina Town and ASP Peoples Colony, reached the scene and shifted the body to Allied Hospital for post-mortem examination.
