David and Victoria Beckham sell One Thousand Museum penthouse for $25m after 2020 purchase

David and Victoria Beckham have sold their Miami penthouse for $25 million, securing a $4.8 million profit on the property they purchased in 2020 for $19.8 million.
The full-floor residence is located in the One Thousand Museum tower, a 62-storey building designed by the late Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid.
The building is known for its exoskeleton design and amenities, including a private rooftop helipad. The Beckhams’ apartment occupies the 59th floor and spans approximately 9,200 square feet.
The five-bedroom property includes six and a half bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling glass walls overlooking Biscayne Bay. The sale price equates to $2,677 per square foot. One Thousand Museum contains 84 residences in total.
Other high-profile owners in the building have seen varying results. Singer Marc Anthony reportedly sold his unit last year for $8.6 million after purchasing it for $11 million.
Citadel chief executive Ken Griffin owns two units on the 58th floor, while Market America chief executive Loren Ridinger has listed her property for $24 million.
The sale does not mark a departure from Miami for the Beckhams. David Beckham is co-owner of Inter Miami CF, strengthening the family’s ties to the region. In 2024, the couple paid $80 million for a waterfront estate on North Bay Road in Miami Beach.
The transaction comes amid mixed conditions in the South Florida luxury property market. Sales of condominiums priced above $1 million fell five per cent year on year in the fourth quarter, according to Analytics Miami. However, properties priced above $20 million reached record levels, driven largely by cash buyers.
Analytics Miami stated: “The rapid expansion of this segment underscores Miami's rising stature on the global stage and reflects the spending power of the ongoing wealth and talent migration.”
