'Ballot Buzz' promotes electoral awareness

A unique electoral awareness activity, "Ballot Buzz," was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ghora Gali, to promote democratic values and encourage electoral participation among students, especially girls.

The initiative aimed to emphasise the importance of voting, citizenship responsibilities, and active engagement in the electoral process. During the programme, students created a symbolic "paper chain" using colored sheets and chart papers, writing messages on themes such as the value of voting, democratic principles, national responsibility, and the role of informed citizens.

These messages were rolled and stapled together to form a long electoral awareness chain, which was later displayed in classrooms and common areas to inspire broader student participation.

The creative activity not only fostered democratic awareness but also provided students a practical platform to express their civic views.
