Sindh Education Department has announced a significant change in school timings for both public and private institutions during holy month of Ramazan. According to the official notification, primary schools with a single shift will operate from 8am to 12:30pm, with a slight adjustment on Fridays, when they will close earlier at 11:30am. For schools with a double shift, the morning session will run from 7:30am to 11:30am, and on Fridays, it will be shortened to 7:30am to 10:30am.
Afternoon sessions in double-shift schools will commence at 11:45am and continue until 2:45pm. However, on Fridays, the afternoon shift will conclude earlier at 1:15pm, ensuring that students and staff can prepare for Iftar.
These new timings reflect a concerted effort by the Sindh Education Department to balance the needs of students, parents, and educators during the sacred month of Ramazan while maintaining academic routines. This decision comes as part of the government's ongoing efforts to accommodate the religious and cultural practices of the community, ensuring that the educational experience remains uninterrupted.
