Bad Bunny has reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with his single “DTMF”, marking his first solo chart-topper following his Super Bowl halftime show on February 8.

The Puerto Rican artist, whose real name is Benito, previously reached the summit of the Hot 100 in July 2018 with “I Like It” alongside Cardi B and J. Balvin. “DTMF” is his first solo number one and second overall chart leader.

Upon its release in January 2025, “DTMF” debuted at number two, narrowly missing the top position. Following his Super Bowl performance, the track rose from number 10 to number one on the chart. The 31-year-old now has four songs in the current Hot 100 top 10.

“DTMF” served as the closing song of his halftime set, during which he performed four tracks. He has now performed both of his Hot 100 number-one songs at the Super Bowl, having previously guested on “I Like It” during Shakira’s halftime show in 2020.

Two additional tracks from DTMF, “Baile Inolvidable” and “Nuevayol”, currently sit at numbers two and five, respectively. Meanwhile, “Tití Me Preguntó” from his 2022 album Un Verano Sin Ti has re-entered the top 10 at number seven.

“DTMF” is reported to be the first predominantly Spanish-language Hot 100 number one led by a solo artist without collaboration.

Other Spanish-language chart-toppers in the United States have included “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber, “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)” by Los Del Río and “La Bamba” by Los Lobos.

According to NBC Sports, the Super Bowl halftime show averaged 128.2 million viewers in the United States, making it the third most-watched in the event’s history.
