Sia has been named Australia’s leading music export on Spotify in 2025, topping the streaming platform’s Global Impact List of Australian recording artists.

The Adelaide-born singer and songwriter becomes the first act to lead the list twice. Her collaboration with David Guetta, “Beautiful People”, ranked No. 1 on the tally, which is based on global streams of Australian artists and excludes listening within Australia. She previously claimed the top position in 2023 with “Gimme Love”.

The latest ranking highlights the continued international reach of Australian artists. Tame Impala, the psychedelic pop project led by Kevin Parker, placed seven songs in the top 50, all from the album Deadbeat. Four of those tracks reached the top 15, including “Dracula” at No. 2 and “Loser” at No. 8.

The Kid LAROI also featured prominently, with seven tracks on the list. Among them were “I know love” with Tate McRae at No. 3 and “A COLD PLAY” at No. 9. Other Australian artists appearing in the upper tier include Dom Dolla, Dean Lewis, Rüfüs Du Sol, Royel Otis and Lithe.

Spotify’s head of artist and label partnerships in Australia and New Zealand, Leah Harris, said the data reflects the global presence of Australian music.

“It’s impossible not to feel the impact of Australian music wherever you go,” she said, adding that the figures demonstrate “how borderless music has become”.

According to Spotify, the United States was the leading export market for Australian artists in 2025, followed by the United Kingdom and Germany.

Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines and France also ranked among the top 10 markets, while South Africa, the Philippines and Colombia recorded the fastest growth over the past three years.

Spotify reported 290 million premium subscribers and 751 million monthly active users in the final quarter of 2025.
