February PlayStation State of Play reveals major 2026 releases

Sony used its February PlayStation State of Play to outline its 2026 roadmap, confirming new titles, release dates and several high-profile revivals for PlayStation 5 and beyond.

Among the headline announcements was a remake of the original God of War trilogy from Santa Monica Studio, now in early development. The presentation also confirmed God of War: Sons of Sparta, a 2D prequel featuring young Kratos and Deimos, available now on PlayStation 5.

Konami featured prominently, revealing Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, which brings Guns of the Patriots and Peace Walker to modern consoles on August 27.

A new 2.5D title, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, is scheduled for 2026, while Silent Hill: Townfall received its first full-length gameplay trailer ahead of a 2026 launch on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Elsewhere, IO Interactive shared a new trailer for 007: First Light, launching on May 27. Bungie confirmed Marathon will release on March 5, with a server slam beginning on February 26. Death Stranding 2 On The Beach is also heading to PC on March 19 with technical enhancements.

Capcom announced that a Pragmata demo is available now, ahead of its April 24 launch. Remedy Entertainment showcased Control: Resonant, due in 2026, and Lucasfilm presented fresh gameplay from Star Wars: Galactic Racer.

Other announcements included Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition releasing on February 13, Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered on March 3, and Dead or Alive 6: Last Round on June 25.

Sony also confirmed new additions to PlayStation+, including Marvel Spider-Man 2 on February 17. The showcase concluded with multiple new projects slated for 2026 and 2027.
