Kaley Cuoco has shared her thoughts on the Ashley Tisdale mum group drama that has been unfolding in Los Angeles, offering a direct and characteristically no nonsense response as the conversation continues to gain attention across entertainment circles.

The Big Bang Theory actor was asked about the situation during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on February 5, where host Andy Cohen raised Ashley Tisdale’s recent essay discussing her experience with tension and emotional strain within a close knit group of mothers. The topic has become a talking point after Ashley described feeling hurt and isolated by people she once believed were meant to offer support during motherhood.

Kaley, who briefly dated Ashley’s husband Christopher French in the early 2010s, did not appear interested in dissecting the situation at length. Instead, she offered what she described as a simple solution to avoiding unnecessary conflict. She said that if someone does not enjoy being part of a group, they should simply leave and find a different circle that feels healthier and more supportive. She added that she did not believe the issue required a public essay and suggested walking away quietly would have been easier.

Ashley previously explained in her January essay that choosing to speak publicly about the experience was important to her. She said that disappearing without explanation would have allowed everyone involved to pretend the friendships simply faded over time. According to Ashley, opening up made her feel empowered and helped her realise that many other mothers had experienced similar pain within groups that were meant to uplift one another.

The situation has sparked strong reactions online, with opinions divided over whether the essay was necessary or excessive. Musician Matthew Koma, who is married to Hilary Duff, shared a parody of the essay on social media that mocked its tone and message. His post quickly circulated, adding another layer to the public discussion and intensifying scrutiny around the group dynamics being referenced.

Others have expressed confusion rather than criticism. Dylan Efron, brother of Zac Efron who worked closely with Ashley during the High School Musical years, admitted he did not fully understand the controversy. He described Ashley as consistently kind and said he could not imagine her acting with ill intent, suggesting the situation may have stemmed from a misunderstanding rather than deliberate cruelty.
