.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday, after hearing three petitions seeking the recovery of missing persons, referred two cases to the Missing Persons Commission, while seeking a response from the Commissioner Malakand within 14 days in the third petition and adjourned further hearing.
The petitions were taken up by Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court Justice SM Atiq Shah. During the proceedings, the Additional Advocate General, Additional Attorney General Sanaullah, and the focal person of the Home Department appeared before the court.
The Additional Advocate General informed the bench that one of the missing persons, Muhammad Esa, had been traced and was currently held at an internment centre in Swat district. He added that the missing person's mother and brother had already met him.
At this, the Chief Justice directed the authorities to submit a detailed report regarding the nature of activities in which the recovered individual had allegedly been involved. The court subsequently sought a report from the Commissioner Malakand within 14 days and adjourned the hearing.
