Verification of K-P wheat growers underway

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that the provincial government is providing direct relief to farmers through the Ehsaas Fuel Support Programme, aimed at reducing agricultural costs and boosting wheat production.

Under the programme, eligibility is limited to farmers who have cultivated wheat during the current season, said a press release, adding farmers owning up to 12.5 acres of land are entitled to benefit from the scheme.

So far, around 1.4 million farmers have been registered across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
