Netflix’s Bridgerton enters Season 4 with several major storylines firmly in place following the events of Season 3.

The latest chapter wrapped up long-running arcs while laying the groundwork for the next central romance, which will focus on Benedict Bridgerton’s search for love.

Season 3 centered on Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington’s friends-to-lovers journey, culminating in their marriage. Penelope also publicly revealed herself as Lady Whistledown, earning Queen Charlotte’s leniency and securing her future as a writer. The couple ends the season happily married with a child, while the Featherington family stabilizes its social standing.

Anthony and Kate Bridgerton return as the new viscount and viscountess, serving as emotional anchors for the family. Their storyline concludes with the reveal of Kate’s pregnancy, marking a new chapter for the household. Francesca Bridgerton also finds her match, marrying John Stirling, Earl of Kilmartin, and departing for Scotland alongside Eloise. The introduction of John’s cousin, Michaela Stirling, subtly hints at future developments.

Eloise Bridgerton spends the season grappling with Penelope’s secret and her own place within society. After briefly aligning with Cressida Cowper, she ultimately reconciles with Penelope and chooses to leave London for a fresh start. Meanwhile, Benedict struggles with purpose, exploring relationships and personal freedom before realizing he is searching for something deeper.

Additional storylines see Lady Violet Bridgerton cautiously opening herself to new love, the Featheringtons securing heirs, and the Mondrich family gaining a title. Together, these arcs position Bridgerton Season 4 to adapt An Offer From a Gentleman, with Benedict’s mysterious Lady in Silver at the center.
