JoJo Siwa discusses plans for children and engagement with boyfriend Chris Hughes
JoJo Siwa has spoken about wanting children and future engagement plans with boyfriend Chris Hughes

JoJo Siwa has spoken publicly about her hopes of starting a family with her boyfriend of six months, Chris Hughes, following recent online discussion sparked by social media posts.
Earlier this month, the 22-year-old shared AI-generated images on TikTok depicting herself and Hughes, 33, as parents to two children.
The images prompted widespread conversation, with some expressing concern about the timing of such discussions so early in the relationship.
Siwa has since addressed the topic while speaking to E! News The Rundown, where she referenced advice previously given to her by Meghan Trainor.
“Meghan Trainor once told me, she said, ‘You will know you love somebody when you love them so much you want to duplicate them and you want to pop a baby out that is made from them’,” Siwa said.
She explained that after beginning her relationship with Hughes, she revisited that advice. “I get what you’re saying now. I love [Chris] so much. I need there to be a mini [Chris],” she added.
The couple, who met while appearing on Celebrity Big Brother UK, have also spoken openly about marriage. In a festive interview with The Sun, Siwa said she would welcome an engagement but noted she would also be willing to propose herself.
Hughes responded that he was not ready, saying, “Not just yet,” and explained that he preferred proposals not to take place at expected times of year.
When Siwa suggested she could propose, Hughes replied, “You can’t,” later adding, “I think if I was proposed to, that would make me really uncomfortable.”
Siwa said she would only consider proposing if the relationship progressed without engagement for several years. “Listen, I wouldn’t do it unless you waited seven years,” she said, later setting a specific date in 2032.
Siwa and Hughes confirmed their romantic relationship weeks after the end of Celebrity Big Brother UK, following Siwa’s separation from Kath Ebbs. She later told The Guardian, “It’s not platonic anymore and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection.”
