Jaime King and Austin Sosa file for divorce months after engagement announcement
It remains unclear when King and Sosa married, as no public announcement was made regarding a wedding

Jaime King is divorcing her second husband, Austin Sosa, less than a year after their engagement was publicly confirmed.
Court documents show that Sosa filed for divorce on Thursday, January 22, bringing an end to a marriage that had not previously been disclosed.
The actress and the banker announced their engagement in July 2025, with King’s representative confirming the news at the time and saying she was “grateful” for the support she had received. The representative added that King was “especially happy to share this moment with her children, who have a loving bond with Austin and his family,” while noting that “as always, her sons remain her top priority, and she kindly asks for privacy as they move forward together with love and gratitude.”
It remains unclear when King and Sosa married, as no public announcement was made regarding a wedding.
King is the mother of two sons, James, 12, and Leo, 10, whom she shares with her former husband, filmmaker Kyle Newman. King and Newman married in 2007 before she filed for divorce in May 2020. Their divorce was finalised in September 2023.
In March 2025, Newman was granted sole physical custody of their children, while the former couple retained shared legal custody, with Newman holding tie-breaking authority, according to court documents.
King, best known for her role in Hart of Dixie, has continued to work steadily in film and television in recent years, while largely keeping her personal life private following her divorce from Newman.
