What did Tom Blyth spend his first paycheck on?
Blyth revealed that he spend his paycheck from working on Robin Hood as feral child #5 on Ben & Jerry ice cream

Tom Blyth revealed a sweet — and slightly disastrous — story from his early acting days on The Drew Barrymore Show, sharing how he spent his first real acting paycheck. The British actor, known for roles in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and Billy the Kid, earned his first paycheck playing feral child #5 in Robin Hood.
Blyth told host Drew Barrymore that he splurged on “as much Ben & Jerry’s ice cream as I could carry,” excited to indulge in the treat because his mother had never let him eat the ice cream.
"I put all of this Ben & Jerry's in what I thought was the freezer and it was a fridge and so the next morning I woke up and I went to look at my Ben & Jerry's, which was like, you know, the whole of my hard work and it had all melted into the fridge. It was a pool of Ben & Jerry's," he recalled.
Barrymore, delighted by the story, brought out tubs of Ben & Jerry’s of different flavors on the show, one of which was melting, playfully illustrating Blyth’s mishap.
Blyth’s story charmed audiences with its mix of youthful excitement and relatable mistakes, offering a glimpse into the actor’s humble beginnings before he became a rising star in Hollywood. The anecdote also served as a reminder of the simple joys — and occasional lessons — that come with first earnings.
