LAHORE:

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan has reviewed arrangements for the "Made in Pakistan – SME Cluster Showcase 2026", scheduled to be held from January 24 to 26 at the Expo Centre, Lahore.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the review was conducted during a Zoom meeting with officials of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), which is organising the event. During the meeting, the SAPM stressed that all possible efforts should be made to ensure the smooth conduct of the exhibition.

Akhtar Khan said the cluster showcase is aimed at strengthening Pakistan's micro, small and medium enterprise ecosystem, expanding market access and positioning SME clusters as a component of the national economy in line with the SME development vision of PM Sharif.

He directed SMEDA to ensure that SME clusters, particularly from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, South Punjab and Balochistan, are provided due visibility and facilitation during the event. Earlier, SMEDA CEO Nadia Jahangir Seth gave a detailed presentation on the preparations and informed the SAPM that the organisation would present SME clusters at the showcase.
