PM vows nationwide rollout of Asan Khidmat Markaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said the federal government was committed to transforming Pakistan's public service delivery ecosystem by providing government services under one roof through a network of Asan Khidmat Markaz across the country.
The prime minister made the remarks during a meeting with an Azerbaijani delegation that visited Islamabad to attend the inauguration ceremony of the capital's first Asan Khidmat Markaz. The delegation was led by Chairman of Azerbaijan's Public Service and Social Innovations Agency, Alvi Mehdiyev, and included Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov, a Prime Minister's Office news release said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani government for their full support in establishing Pakistan's first Asan Khidmat Markaz in Islamabad and termed it a milestone in public sector reform. He said Pakistan was striving to fundamentally overhaul the governance and service delivery system to make it efficient, transparent and citizen-friendly.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday received Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of China's Communist Party, at the Prime Minister's House.
The PM was assisted by SAPM Tariq Fatemi, PM's Special Representative on China Ambassador Zafar Uddin Mahmood, and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, a Prime Minister's Office news release said.
Shehbaz welcomed the Chinese dignitary and her delegation to Pakistan. He said it was particularly auspicious that the visit was taking place amid bilateral celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
The Chinese Vice Minister thanked the prime minister for his warm and hospitable welcome and said that China was committed to strengthening its long-standing, time-tested relations with Pakistan across all spheres. She congratulated the Prime Minister for bringing economic as well as political stability in the country and said the Chinese nation took great pride in Pakistan's diplomatic successes.
She briefed the prime minister that the Chinese Communist Party had maintained excellent ties with a wide range of political parties in Pakistan and appreciated the Prime Minister for his leadership role in unifying these political entities for effective governance.
The Vice Minister emphasized the significance of party-to-party ties and expressed the Chinese Communist Party's commitment and resolve to deepen collaboration with political parties in Pakistan, through inter-party mechanisms.
Railways' uplift
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday appreciating the effective performance shown by Pakistan Railways despite limited resources said that a series of revolutionary measures initiated by the government for the institution's uplift were yielding satisfactory outcomes.
