KARACHI:

Amid growing incidents of dog-bite in the metropolis, residents of Ittehad Town's Qaimkhani Colony and Nawab Colony continue to live in constant fear due to the growing menace of stray canines in the area. The situation has become particularly alarming for women and children, as several minors have been attacked and injured in separate incidents over the past few days.

According to local sources, packs of stray dogs roam freely in the neighbourhoods, attacking children playing in the streets. Following the recent incidents, local residents rushed the injured children to government and private hospitals for immediate medical treatment.

Videos of the injured children, recorded by residents on their mobile phones, have gone viral on social media. In the footage, residents can be seen appealing to union council officials to take urgent notice of the situation and launch a campaign to eliminate the menace of stray dogs.

Locals have warned that if timely action is not taken, further incidents may occur, putting the lives of innocent children at risk.
