Traffic police officer assaulted

Lawlessness by roadside vendors in Saddar reached a new peak on Wednesday when a traffic police officer was assaulted while performing duty. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, sparking public outrage.

According to police, the incident occurred when a traffic police officer attempted to remove a roadside cart that was obstructing traffic flow. The vendor reacted violently and physically attacked the officer, causing him to fall to the ground. The viral footage shows the vendor repeatedly pushing and beating the officer, while other hawkers and traffic police personnel attempted to intervene and separate the parties.

Following the incident, Saddar Police registered a case and arrested the main accused, Abdul Qadir.
