The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a clarification dismissing reports of internet disruptions across the country on 15 January. According to the authority, such information is incorrect and lacks any factual basis.

In an official statement, the PTA confirmed that internet services throughout Pakistan remain stable and fully operational. The authority emphasised that routine maintenance on submarine cables is ongoing but will not affect internet connectivity.

"PTA continues to monitor networks to ensure uninterrupted service for users across the country," the statement added.

The PTA’s clarification aims to prevent misinformation and reassure internet users that connectivity will remain consistent despite ongoing infrastructure maintenance.
