Gang-rape case suspect arrested

Police arrested a man accused of gang-raping a woman after intoxicating her, officials said on Wednesday.

According to a police spokesperson, the victim stated in her complaint that a landlord and his accomplices dragged her to his farmhouse where she was subjected to assault. She said the accused later left her.

On the complaint of the victim, medico-legal procedures were conducted. Following confirmation through forensic evidence, the police arrested the prime suspect. A case was registered, while the accomplices nominated in the FIR were at large.

Meanwhile, a man died when a tractor-trolley loaded with sugarcane overturned on Muzaffargarh-Mianwali raod near Sultan Colony.

Recue 1122 sources said the tractor driver, Muhammad Tariq, was killed.
