Two held for killing animals to sell meat
.

Police have arrested two men involved in the killing and disappearance of animals in the Township area after a series of complaints from residents about livestock dying overnight under mysterious circumstances.
According to police, several reports had surfaced in recent weeks regarding goats and other pet animals falling ill and dying during the night, while some had gone missing.
Using CCTV footage from the area, police traced the acts to a group of sanitation workers. Investigators revealed that one of the suspects, Shahid, a garbage collector, used to mix fireworks material into animal fodder during the night. The substance caused severe internal injuries, leading to the animals' death.
The police said locals caught Shahid red-handed and thrashed him before handing him over to them. The suspect confessed during interrogation to committing the acts along with the accomplice, Rashid.
Investigation revealed that the suspects sold the meat of the killed animals to various shops in the city.
