Conor McGregor reflects on marriage to Dee Devlin, describes ‘signs of divine orchestration’

The pair married in December 2025, after welcoming four children together over the course of their relationship

Conor McGregor has spoken publicly about his marriage to long-term partner Dee Devlin, saying his decision to wed after more than a decade together was driven by faith and a belief that the timing was guided by forces beyond his control.

The former UFC champion married Devlin in December 2025, after the couple welcomed four children together over the course of their relationship.

In a lengthy Instagram post shared this week, McGregor reflected on the ceremony, which took place at the Church of Santo Stefano degli Abissini in Vatican City, and described a series of events he believes led to the wedding happening exactly when it did.

Sharing photographs from the ceremony, McGregor wrote that the date and time of the wedding held particular meaning for him, noting it took place on December 12, 2025, at 12:12 pm. He also referenced numerical symbolism and the location of the ceremony, describing them as “unmistakable signs of divine orchestration”.

“It is clear this was not a coincidence. God's hand guided every detail, confirming His blessing on our union and His presence in my life,” McGregor wrote. He added that his priorities were faith first, followed by his wife, children and parents.

McGregor also claimed the Vatican contacted him a week before the wedding to reschedule the ceremony, which he said allowed the couple to marry on the symbolic date and time. He said he felt compelled to marry Devlin shortly after undergoing trauma treatment in Mexico earlier in 2025.

The post prompted widespread reaction from fans, many of whom offered congratulations and praised Devlin’s long-standing support. One supporter wrote that Devlin had “stood by you through everything”, while Devlin herself commented: “The best day of my life!!”

McGregor and Devlin met in Dublin in 2008 and became engaged in 2020. Despite past relationship challenges and public scrutiny, the couple have remained together and formalised their relationship more than 15 years after first meeting.
