ISLAMABAD:

An additional district and sessions court on Monday adjourned the hearing in the controversial tweet case against human rights activist Imaan Mazari and her husband Hadi Ali Chattha without any proceedings.

Chattha appeared before the court, presided over by Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka, and informed it that Imaan was suffering from a 104-degree fever and was therefore unable to attend.

He added that he himself also had a fever but appeared in court so it would not seem like an excuse. Judge Majoka directed him to file an application seeking exemption from appearance. The court approved the request and adjourned the hearing until Jan 14.
