Bar election: Bhoon group bags key positions

ISLAMABAD:
In the 2026 annual elections of the Islamabad Bar Association, candidates backed by the Ahsan Bhoon Group secured key offices, with Chaudhry Naeem Ali Gujjar elected as president and Raja Khawar Dhanyal winning the seat of secretary.
Polling was held on Saturday at the Judicial Complex, starting at 8:00 am and continuing until 4:00 pm, with a break from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm for lunch and prayers.
Strict security arrangements were put in place for the elections. Additional security personnel were deployed, and entry of non-relevant individuals into the Judicial Complex premises was completely barred.
