LHC orders biometric checks in Punjab courts
In a major step aimed at curbing the filing of fake cases, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has made biometric verification mandatory across the district judiciary of Punjab.
The initiative has been launched under a plan approved by Chief Justice Lahore High Court Aalia Neelum to prevent impersonation and ensure transparency in judicial proceedings.
A formal notification to this effect has been issued by the LHC DG district judiciary.
According to the notification, biometric verification will be compulsory before filing any case in district courts across Punjab.
