Four killed as livestock truck overturns

Around animals in the truck were reportedly crushed to death in the accident

MUZAFFARGARH:

At least four men were killed and several others injured when a truck transporting livestock overturned on Jhang Road near a motorway interchange on Wednesday.

According to officials, the accident occurred after the truck's tie rod broke, disconnecting the steering mechanism from the wheels. The driver lost control over the vehicle, causing it to overturn.

The driver, Ejaz, along with Muhammad Murad, Ansar and an unidentified man were killed in the accident.

The injured included Kashif, aged 37, Nazir Ahmad (55), Ahsan Azam (24), Naqi Riyaz (21), and an unidentified man.

Rescue teams shifted the bodies and injured to the district headquarters hospital.

Around animals in the truck were reportedly crushed to death in the accident.

Police also reached the scene and initiated medico-legal formalities along with an investigation into the incident. APP
