David Harbour exits 'Behemoth!' film starring Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde
Searchlight Pictures confirms David Harbour has exited 'Behemoth!' during filming, with the role already recast

David Harbour will no longer star in the drama film Behemoth!, which also features Pedro Pascal, Olivia Wilde, Matthew Lillard and Eva Victor.
Searchlight Pictures confirmed that Harbour has exited the project, which is currently in production. Pascal and Wilde have been photographed on set, indicating filming is ongoing.
Harbour had been set to play one of the film’s lead roles in Behemoth!, directed by Tony Gilroy. According to Variety, the role has already been recast, although no replacement has yet been announced. The studio did not disclose further details regarding the circumstances of the departure.
The news follows Harbour’s recent completion of the fifth and final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Sources cited by Variety said the actor was “overwhelmed” after wrapping the series and amid increased media attention.
The final season’s promotional period coincided with reports concerning his personal life, including his split from ex-wife Lily Allen, allegations of infidelity, and speculation about tensions with co-star Millie Bobby Brown.
Despite stepping away from Behemoth!, Harbour continues to have multiple projects in development and release. His departure from the film also recalls a previous scheduling overlap involving Pascal.
The two actors were originally attached to star together in the HBO project My Dentist’s Murder Trial, but Pascal later withdrew due to scheduling conflicts. That project was subsequently reworked into DTF St. Louis, with Harbour appearing opposite Jason Bateman instead.
Behemoth! remains in production under Searchlight Pictures, with its principal cast otherwise unchanged. Further updates on the film, including casting announcements related to Harbour’s replacement, have not yet been made public.
